Hear your night. You decide what it was.
Bruxa records while you sleep, then hands you the sounds it picked out, strongest first. You play each one and say whether it sounded like grinding. Bruxa gives your night no score and counts nothing.

New in Bruxa 1.2
- A “Take your nights to your dentist” card on the morning result, with a preview of the real first page of your Dentist Report, built from the moments you just confirmed.
- “Review last night” on the Tonight screen reopens last night’s result.
- A plainer notice on the morning an older night leaves the free 7-night window.
- Recording starts more reliably on iPhones where the microphone could fail to start, without saying so, if other audio was playing.
How a night works
- Before bed. Start a night and leave the iPhone on the nightstand, microphone uncovered, ideally on the charger. It records until you stop it in the morning. If a podcast or music was still playing when you tapped start, recording now starts more reliably than it used to.
- In the morning. Open “Sounds from your night”. The sounds are ranked against each other, strongest first. Tap play. If it sounded like grinding, mark “Sounded like grinding”. If it was the fan, the dog shaking its collar or your partner rolling over, mark “Not grinding”: it drops out and the next one moves up. Tapped the wrong one? Restore puts it back. Under the list, the “Take your nights to your dentist” card shows the first page of your Dentist Report as it would look with the moments you just confirmed. Up and out the door before you finished? “Review last night” on the Tonight screen brings the result back.
- Across the week. Under “What changed?” jot the day in a few words: coffee at four, a deadline, a second glass of wine. During the day, a jaw check-in is one tap: relaxed or clenched. By the weekend you have a short list of moments you heard with your own ears, next to what was going on in your life.
Want more than the shortlist? The full-night recording is there to scrub through, with the room’s loudness mix for that night. A short in-app guide, “What you might hear”, walks through the ordinary sounds a bedroom makes at 3am, so a radiator ticking doesn’t send you looking for night guards.
What Bruxa won’t tell you
Telling grinding apart from a fan, traffic, a pet or a partner by sound alone is beyond what any phone does reliably. So Bruxa shortlists, and you are the judge. It never turns a night into a number.
A quiet list is not evidence that nothing happened. Night audio can miss quiet clenching, which is one reason the daytime jaw check-ins exist.
The Dentist Report
A PDF and a CSV you can hand over or email from your phone. They contain only what you decided: the moments you marked “Sounded like grinding”, your jaw check-ins, your notes, and the list of nights you recorded. Nothing Bruxa guessed goes in. You can see it before you pay: the morning result previews its real first page, built from the moments you confirmed. Exporting the Dentist Report is part of Bruxa PRO.
